MUSIC and CHORUS

Montessori Music Classes are offered to Primary through 6th grade students. Pre-K classes present a musical program to parents during the winter and at the end of the school year. All elementary students participate in the MSM Chorus, and Upper Elementary students learn recorder from beginning to advanced levels. Elementary students have the opportunity to display their talents during the annual Recorder and Choral Concert in the Spring.

DRAMA

Music and Chorus are integrated with Drama Classes offered to students in the Elementary. The Lower Elementary students present a musical at the MSM Annual Graduation and Spring Performance. The Upper Elementary Students are selected to perform an adaptation of a W.S. Shakespeare Play at the Folger Theatre in Washington D.C. during the annual Folger Theatre Children's Festival in May, and at the MSM Annual Graduation and Spring Performance. The 2012 twenty-minute cut version of Twelfth Night will be the twelfth performance for the school on the Folger stage.
